Lockdown Diet - Baking With Steph
of the magazine (Jan 2020) you’ll find Steph’s boerewors 1
If you should feel like going back to our very first issue
recipe and method there. However, as you know, that
was long ago… when Steph was still in the northern
hemisphere and before the dreaded lockdowns hit
north… and south. Now Steph finds himself with fresh
challenges… like most of us do. So, I think he has taken
to baking comfort food – to keep the sugar levels up!
Way UP! Anyway… I waffle too much, something he
actually reminded me of the other day… to be pre-
cise… I’ll use his exact words…
“Jy kan gorrel lol…”
OK, so… what’s the moral of the story? Not much
really… apart from the fact that when we communicate
there is a whole lot of gorrel, waffle and even a bit of lol.
Right, let me get to the point. Steph found the recipe on
some FB page – and decided he needed to experiment
to see if anyone could make a microwave tart using just
three ingredients. So, without further ado… here’s the
whole three yards, Steph style.
1 – Tennis biscuits – one packet
2 – Marshmallows – 150g packet
3 – Strawberry yogurt – 500ml 2
Go off to the FB Group – Foodies of SA… you’ll find it
all there! See what I did there? Now I don’t have to type
up the whole lot… and you still get all the information
you need. Right so… back to Steph and his research. He
assured me that the process worked well – so well that
the kids floored the tart – I’m hoping before he got to
it because I’m concerned about his health – we oldsters
must lookout for each other! So, where to now? No-
where really… apart from hoping Steph will contribute
more in the future.
Finally – all the photos were sent by Steph – and just to
show I’m not biased in any way, I’ll let Steph have the
final say!
“Vining, maklik, cheap en lekker!”
LOL…
