Thank you DC Malen for the great memories.

You will forever remain in our hearts.

According to experts, “leadership is a process of social
influence in which a person can count on the help of
others to accomplish a common task.” This is the kind of
leadership of District Chairman Malen Ang.

The Inner Wheel Year 2014-2015 was all about her and
the 358 members of District 380 of the Inner Wheel Club
of the Philippines, Inc. Through her interpersonal
relationships among members, significant community
projects were executed nationwide. Ordinary members
suddenly turned to servant leaders. She influenced and
goaded members to solicit funds, build classrooms,
provide water supplies, fund scholarships, and other
projects to uplift the lives of the needy.

It was, therefore, not surprising when IWCPI recognized
DC Malen for her hard work and awarded her the Most GRACE C. ZAMORA
Outstanding District Chairman for 2014-2015. She had

earned the high regard and respect of leaders of different IWCPI District 380
clubs in the District and the organization as a whole. She

had led the District membership to overcome the
challenges, to create new friendships, and to have fun
while serving.

2014-2015 had been a remarkable year for me. l made
memorable with the presence of our beloved District
Chairman Malen. Her endeavors to help those around her
were noteworthy. Her passion to serve was genuinely
infectious, and her unfaltering steps towards nothing less
than excellence were truly inspiring. Her guidance and
help, may it be financial, spiritual, mental, or physical,
were bulwarks of stability. It was almost she could never
go wrong. What was awe-inspiring were her beginnings.
She did not hesitate to share how she and PDG Edison got
started. From her stories, I discerned that DC Malen was a
person who, with enough grit, passion, perseverance, and
positive outlook in life, would be able to make it to the
top. I was fortunate to have known her. I saw that no
matter what her status in life was, she had both her feet
on the ground. She was an outstanding leader and an
efficient member. But more importantly, she was a good ESTRELLA H. APOSTADERO
friend to me and many and well-loved by those around Past President
