Welcome to the Twenty Third (23rd) edition of The Living Day By Day Magazine. The theme for this edition is entitled The
Finish Line.
Getting to the Finish Line can be very difficult especially when it seems as if
nothing is working on your behalf and no one is there to help encourage and push you
through. This may be true in your life, but getting to the Finish Line is about you and
God’s plan for your life and NOT about the people who will or will not help you.
For years, I have planned and facilitated several events and several conferences with little
to no help. In the planning phase and right up to the end of my events and conferences, I
finally realized that no matter who helped, who attended or who supported, I had to get to
the Finish Line.
In this season, for you to get to the Finish Line, you have to focus on what God has
called you to do. It really is not about the people around you, it is about you answering
the call of God. Do you sit down on God because people will not support you? Do you
sit down on God because people decide not to be a part of the vision that God has given
to you? What if God sat down on you when you needed to be healed or when your chil-
dren needed to be saved/delivered? No matter what, when healing and deliverance needs
to take place, God will always get to the Finish Line for you and your family. When will
you get your God given dreams, goals and plans to the Finish Line?
The bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 9:11 that: The race is not given to the swift, nor the strong but to he who endures to the
end.
You do not have to be swift or strong to get to the Finish Line, you just have to endure. Often times we get frustrated with
enduring but the “enduring phase” is the prerequisite to the Finish Line. Don’t give up in the enduring phase. Don’t focus on
people in the enduring phase and don’t quit in the enduring phase because the Finish Line is near.
In closing, getting to the Finish Line is not an easy task to do, but with God on your side getting to the Finish Line is defi-
nitely a task you can accomplish. As you move towards the Finish Line, keep your eyes on God and ALL that HE has for
you. Don’t get off course in this season by focusing on people and their mess. Remember, getting to the Finish Line is about
what God has called you to, not about the people who are around you. Continue to stay in
faith, stay prayerful, stay in the race and most importantly get to the Finish Line.
We’d love to hear from you!
