“Rain starts with the sun rays in
the sky. Then the sun warms the water
from our rivers, ponds, and even the
ocean. That water gets hot making
steam that goes up into the clouds.
Look closely at those clouds as they
get full before the rain. Water droplets
are filling those clouds. When the
clouds cannot hold any more droplets,
the rain comes down.
After the rain, sunshine is sure to
return and sometimes we see rainbows,”
Mommy assured them.
