JOSHINMON SHORIN RYU.

Karate-Do is very popular
martial art today, with a
large number of millions
of practitioners around

the world, with a very rich
a history of hundreds of
years through which it has
had a great metamorpho-
sis, even in their names.

But I am not going to speak
in general of the history of
this beautiful martial art,
nowadays also become in
sports modality; but one
of his specific styles, ca-

lled Joshinmon Shorin
Ryu Karate-Do, perhaps
not very well known here
in the USA.

The historical trajectory of
this style is closely linked
to the personal story of its
creator, the Soke Hoshu
Ikeda, born in China of
Japanese parents. At the

age of twelve his family
decides to return to Japan,
where he began the prac-
tice of karate in order to
acquire more health and
