Narrow shafts of light highlight the center console. We’ve entered Climate Control: Trane Technologies’ inner sanctum. Projected onto the 270-degree screen behind the consoles are various maps of
the world, monitors showing data streams, etc. Alerts appear on the monitors: there are many areas around the world that are in need of attention. Opposite from us on the wall is a monitor showing a message that reads:
“STANDBY FOR BRIEFING.” COMPUTER: Incoming transmission. IRMA STAT appears, via a video link.
