The car was still racing on the prairies in 1968, but now with Harry Bull behind the wheel. Bull
competed at Davidson in May 1968, and in the novice race at MacDonald on June 30, where
the car came in first. The car’s body work had been heavily modified around the driver’s
cockpit and the enclosed body work was cut down forward of the steering wheel and on either
side of the driver. The windscreen was enlarged in height and the white nose band had been
widened. After eight years of continuous racing, the car was looking even more battle-scarred
and tired.
Harry and the Sadler must have been dearly loved, as Harry Bull’s son had an image of the
Sadler, complete with Harry behind the wheel, tattooed across his back.
The Sadler subsequently went to British Columbia and was owned and stored for many years
by John Crowe. It fell into disrepair, but restoration was started in the early 1980s before the
car passed to Rob Fellows in June 1986. In Fellows’ words, “I bought it from John Crowe who
