(BELOW) Based on an earlier design from LaFayette, the Ajax arrived in 1925, built at the old Mitchell Motors factory with tooling from the old LaFayette works. Priced at under $1,000, Ajax offered solid value, allowing its sales to surpass 20,000 units. Despite the enthusiastic reception from customers and the motoring press, Nash decided to build future examples under the Nash brand name in 1926. (Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum)
