1971, when he sold it to a John Fischer, still without the engine. Important Ferrari historian, book author and collector Richard F. Merritt from Bethesda in Maryland found the original motor of the car. He contacted Jack Reuter and sold it to him on June 13, 1971. Reuter offered the original motor to Fischer, but he declined the offer.
Reuter finally sold the engine #2047 together with his third A6GCS, #2079, to broker Keith Duly from Connecticut who sold the engine to Antoine Prunet from France. Engine #2047 is today in #2066.
In 1990, #2047 was sold without its original motor to its still current owner, an A6GCS enthusiast in the US who once owned three cars of that type and currently still has one example.
