UPPER: In addition to the four dropheads, Park Ward built a brace of two-door
saloons with the same John Blatchley styling, design number 648. This one is
believed to be BC24D, seen here with Aurora, one of BOAC’s C-4 Argonauts, a
Rolls-Royce ‘Merlin’-engined version of the DC-4 built by Canadair in 1949.
LOWER: Line drawing of Park Ward design number 648 two-door saloon. With no
convertible hood stowage intruding on the luggage space, the luggage capacity
is even larger than that of the drophead.
