                                                               TIP
                                             • Two pads may be connected to one monitor.
                                        • If using only one pad, it can be plugged into either port.

        3. Power the M200 Monitor

        Power Supply:
        • Plug the M200 monitor’s power supply into the electrical outlet.
        • Install batteries for backup power three CR123A lithium batteries
        Batteries:
        • Insert the batteries into the battery compartment and tighten the screw on the battery cover.
                                                               TIP
                               • IMPORTANT: Use only Sensormat pads manufactured by STANLEY Healthcare.
                                       • Bed pad: place approximately 3 to 5 inches below the bend.
                                  • Chair pad: place across seat, approximately 4 inches from back of chair.
                       • For all pads, consider the individual’s position in the bed/chair and adjust placement accordingly.

        Monitoring an Individual
        1. Place the individual on the bed/chair.
        2. The Reset button flashes green for 3 seconds, then provides a Positive Confirmation tone.

IMPORTANT: Always verify the green monitoring light is illuminated before leaving the
room. When the monitor is operating by battery power only, the Reset button will not stay
illuminated but instead it will flash green when monitoring.
        Setting an Alarm Delay
Setting a delay allows in-bed movement without triggering an alarm
        • Two consecutive presses on the Reset button (while NOT in alarm mode) changes the delay
setting from the current setting to a new one.
− The Alarm Delay cycles through from 0s to 1s to 2s.

        Responding to an Alarm
When an individual attempts to exit bed/chair, an alarm sounds in the room and at the
nurses station (if Nurse Call is connected).
        1. Attend to the individual.
        2. Press the Reset button to cancel the alarm.
− If a Nurse Call is in use, reset the M200 first, followed by Nurse Call.
         Hold Mode
Allows caregiver 30 seconds to remove an individual from a monitored pad without
triggering an alarm. If the individual’s weight is applied to the pad while in Hold mode,
         normal monitoring resumes.
         Setting Hold Mode
Hold Mode: Press the Reset button for 3 seconds.
         • When the Hold Mode time has completed, the monitor resumes normal operation.
         • To exit Hold Mode before the time has passed, press and hold the Reset button for 2
            seconds.
− Alternately, to exit Hold Mode before the full 30 seconds, return the individual to the pad.
