Global Push: Policies around the world
  India
India had launched National Hydrogen Energy Mission focused on development of hydrogen infrastructure
The country has proposed hydrogen-use mandates for domestic fertilizer, petrochemical, steel and other industries
 Netherlands
Netherlands plans to meet 30-50% of the domestic energy needs through biogas and hydrogen by 2025
The country will have 15 thousand FCEVs, 50 tank stations by 2025, and will use hydrogen in urban heating by 2030
    Japan
Hydrogen and ammonia will be used for 10% of Japan’s power generation by 2050
Japan plans to procure 3 MN and 30 MN MT of green ammonia per year by 2030 and 2050 respectively, for use in thermal power plants and as a shipping fuel
 United States
The US presently has an annual hydrogen demand for 10 MN Mt, which expected to reach 41 MN MT by 2050
California Fuel Cell Partnership had outlined targets for 1,000 hydrogen refueling stations and 1 MN FCEVs by 2030, matching China’s targets
 United Kingdom
UK has launched a massive drive (H21 initiative) to convert 3.7 MN homes and businesses from natural gas to hydrogen by 2034, and 12 MN by 2050
The government has funded multiple hydrogen initiatives and plans to have 5 GW green hydrogen capacity by 2030
    South Korea
South Korea announced its Hydrogen Economy Roadmap, which outlines a goal of producing 6.2 million fuel cell electric vehicles, rolling out at least 1,200 refilling stations by 2040, and supplying 15 GW of fuel cells for power generation by 2040
