Dear Friends:
On behalf of the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, happy holidays and
best wishes for a year of love, joy, peace, health, safety, and great accomplishments.
2019 has been a truly transformative year for the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and
Cutaneous Surgery; from our name change to the wonderful achievements of our faculty, trainees and
alumni. In the midst of my 4th year as Chair, UM Dr. Phillip Frost Dermatology is striving to be the top
Dermatology Department in the US and is on target! This is truly a tribute to our superb faculty, talented
residents, fantastic fellows, wonderful administrative team (Monica Calcines, Peggy Betancourt, Radel
Dupeiron, Claudia Gutierrez, Clara Ibarra, Dave Lewis, Maria Palomino, Jacquelyn Salazar, Fabiola Rivera
Morales and Jessenia Pomares), our hard-working staff, our valued alumni and our dermatology community.
Your continuing support of the Department is critical for us to truly be the Department we all envision!
