Initial Assumptions
Creating a more holistic understanding of the way that healthcare is perceived by the patients could possibly
create a better opportunity for the alternative medical sciences to reach out to its users.
Many unseen discrepancies between the perceived effect and true effect of medical practices may be uncovered.
Several insights drawn from the research could be clubbed and connected to create a network of insights about
the perception of alternative healthcare practices.
Potential to identify gaps in the existing system of alternative healthcare through the research.
A clear segmentation of use cases for the different medical practices based on the effect of past experiences,
demographics, kind of illness, awareness, accessibility… could lead to a more conclusive framework and a
service/product to tangibly address the gaps in the system.
There is a lot of potential for integration of alternative medicines in the healthcare experience of the urban
Indian patient which can be explored based on the insights drawn.
