―To build up a Goa College Librarians' Association in Collaboration with G.V.M's
library is to cre- Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education, Dept.of Extension Services
ate a life.‖ organized one day State Level Seminar on the topic ― Soft Skills in
Libraries‖ at G.V.M's Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education, Far-
magudi -Ponda Goa on Friday, 5th August 2016.

Shri.Krishna Shetye, Chairman, Goa Vidyaprasarak Mandal‘s Work-
~Carlos María ing Committee was the Chief Guest for the seminar. Dr.Allan Abreu,
Domínguez Principal, G.V.M's Dr.Dada Vaidya College of Education, Farmagudi

-Ponda Goa was the keynote speaker for the day and Mrs.Karuna
Satardekar, Asst.Prof. G.V.M's Dr.Dada Vaidya College of Education,
Farmagudi -Ponda was the Resource Person.

The seminar started with a video glimpses of inauguration of GCLA, its objectives and what it‘s
trying to do. Information in brief about GVM‘s history and development also was shown from the
inception of GVM. There were all together 37 participants for the seminar.

Compere of the day was Shri.Sanjay Govekar, Asst. Prof. G.V.M's Dr.Dada Vaidya College of
Education, Farmagudi -Ponda GCLA President, Mrs.Nirmala Parab Welcomed the gathering.
Feedback of the seminar was given by Mr.Bala Mandrekar and Mrs.Anju Bhale.

During Valedictory function, the Chief Guest was Dr,Vikas Pissurlekar, Principal, PES R.S.Naik
College of Arts and Science.

GCLA donated five plants to the G.V.M's Dr.Dada Vaidya College of Education, Farmagudi –
Ponda as per GCLA decisions Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.Goretti Falcao, Co-ordinator,
Dept.of Ext.Services
