  Happiness at Work
The Happiness at Work Survey forms part of CQE’s Monthly Report for participating care homes.
Each month, CQE produces a report on the Happiness of that care home’s carers.
The happiness of the UK’s 25 major industry groupings is surveyed annually by Lord Mark Price - a former Minister of Trade, Managing Director of Waitrose, and Deputy Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership.
As can be seen from the graph above, last year the Healthcare Sector rated 25th out of 25.
The care home data above are sampled from the first care home CQE ever worked with. After the home had been employing the CQE system for 2 years, the average happiness of its carers exceeded the average happiness of all other workers in every single major industry in the UK. It has never dropped below that rating since.
The happiness of the carers in any care home is a very powerful indicator of both the quality of that home’s leadership and culture as well as the happiness of its residents.
The Happiness at Work survey is an excellent way for management (other than carers and their leaders) to keep “in touch” with their home(s).
