well-being, and health. Assisted-living, as it exists today, emerged
in the 1990s as an eldercare alternative on the continuum of
care for people, for whom independent living is not appropriate,
but who do not need the 24-hour medical care provided by a
nursing home.

Home Health Care
Home health is for those that prefer to and can afford to, remain
in their home when they need care in their senior years. In-
home health care, an aide comes to the home to provide care
for the person who needs assistance.
