The National Health Services (NHS) England has
integrated JoinXR into its program as the key platform
for healthcare education and training nationwide. Health
Education England (HEE), the training segment of the
NHS, has started using JoinXR as part of their drive to
bring in immersive technologies to their sectors.
Trainees and instructors will use JoinXR as their
primary tool to collaborate in safe and accessible
environments. They can interact using photo-realistic
avatars that take the place of actors who traditionally
perform simulations. The use of JoinXR saves the NHS
resources and time while providing enhanced realism
in clinical simulations. It is also helping to facilitate
greater collaboration and knowledge sharing between
international teams for surgeons preplanning and
discussing complex cases.
NHS England is utilizing JoinXR to explore more
healthcare use cases for mixed reality, including ways
to incorporate knowledge sharing, pre-planning, and
deployment across a national network of technical hubs.
