CORPORATE SOCIAL
RESPONSIBILITY
Naked Hotel Limited’s commitment to social responsibility stems from the belief that we are a
part of the community we serve. As such, giving back is a fundamental aspect of our identity and
values that goes together with our strategic business objectives, and that enhances the way we do
business.
Naked Hotel Limited FOUNDATION
In 2016, the Naked Hotel Limited Foundation continued to fulfil its commitment to nation
building primarily through its educational/child welfare, environment, and sports initiatives.
Education/child welfare
In education, we maintained our partnership with the National Children’s Home located at Hope
Gardens, Kingston 6, Jamaica where we collaborated with a private sector partner to provide
students with a balanced meal daily. Our annual Christmas Treat proved a thrilling experience
for the more than 200 children at the home, as they were feted by our team members, who
organized fun activities to entertain them and offered them gifts and treats, in keeping with the
spirit of the season.
The Foundation also embarked on a new project with the National Children’s Home to improve
the quality of learning by using the performing arts. The project focuses on primarily creating
nurturing environments to foster and encourage imaginative and inventive learning and play. In
addition to this Naked Hotel Limited donated $100,000 to the Children’s Home on December 19,
2016.
The annual Naked Hotel 5k Walk/Run event which occurred on September 20, 2016, which is
the second largest of its kind to be kept in Montego Bay, raised funds and awareness for the
Jamaican Special Needs Community.
Environment
The Plastic Bottle Collection Programme continues to be well received. Employees are actively
participating in the recycling effort at work and bringing their plastic bottles from home for
collection. By the end of 2016, over 21,000 pounds of plastic were collected. In addition, four
new schools were added to the Programme.
Naked Hotel Limited also participated in International Coastal Cleanup Day by providing
sponsorship and volunteers to aid with cleanup activities in the Montego Bay and its environs.
