We envision Washington County as the safest urban county in Oregon by
building strong community partnerships, providing excellent customer
service, practicing prudent fiscal operations and embracing excellence.

We value the public trust given to us as we conserve the peace in our
communities. A recent community survey indicated residents we serve are
happy with our service and support us. Lastly, the Sheriff consistently returns
about 6-7 percent of the operating budget to the county administrative office
at the end of every fiscal year.
