Williamsburg Landing

When you drive onto the grounds of
Williamsburg Landing, you immediately
know you have found a special place.
The grounds are beautiful, and not the
kind of beauty that shouts at you. It is
subtle, like it was designed to surround
this community with a separate warmth
that both envelops you and separates
you from the outside.
Driving through the tree-lined streets, you see the breadth of the neighborhoods with their
charming duplex homes, single family homes and stately apartment buildings. Everything was
designed to make residents feel comfortable in their home, both inside and outside. It’s a beautiful
day and many residents are strolling along the walking paths, enjoying the great weather.
Williamsburg Landing is a Life Plan Community (formerly known as a Continuing Care Retirement
Community). A Life Plan Community provides a person-centered, socially enriched community
with a full continuum of care. These resident services include: independent living, short-term
rehabilitation, home health, assisted living, memory support, short and long-term skilled nursing,
and long-term care. A new adult day center has recently opened that is available to both residents
and the greater community.

Nestled on 137 wooded acres adjacent to College Creek, Williamsburg Landing is minutes from the
College of William & Mary and Colonial Williamsburg. From “Town & Gown” lectures at the College
and onsite Christopher Wren classes, to sporting events and art shows, the vibrancy of a college
town is there to embrace. In addition, Colonial Williamsburg offers year-round activities
and programs for families of all ages.
Dining is most enjoyable where residents and guests can choose between the Dining Room with its
elegant colonial ambiance, or the cozy relaxed atmosphere of its Cove Café. Williamsburg Landing’s
professional culinary team provides delicious and healthy entrees for residents and employees to
choose from.
During our tour, residents clustered together chatting over coffee as others scurried on their way
to the many events and activities taking place in their community. The residents are friendly,
welcoming and happy to offer information about their community. Staff members extend warm
hospitality to family members and guests, and they interact and engage with all.
One of the many highlights of our tour was the Doig Health Club & Spa. We saw an aquatics
exercise class taking place in the large indoor heated pool and many residents exercising on
state-of-the-art equipment in the cardio/fitness room.
