CONVENTIONAL & SENIOR APARTMENTS
Freedom from responsibilities of home ownership. These communities offer
accommodations and amenities designed specifically for older adults. May
offer subsidies, recreational activities but generally no assistive care.
ACTIVE ADULT
A more compact, low maintenance residence often offering aging in
place features. Access to leisure and recreational activities and generally
no assistive care.
INDEPENDENT LIVING
A variation on the above in generally a more structured environment. Onsite
social and recreational activities and again limited access to assistive care.
LeAnne Ballentine
Community Relations Director for The Village at Southlake
LeAnne Ballentine has been in the senior industry for over 25 years.
She started her career as a registered nurse caring for seniors in a
long-germ care environment. She has worked as a nurse case
manager in rehabilitation, a hospice nurse, and owned her own
homecare company. More recently, LeAnnne has joined the amazing team at The Village of
Southlake in Lexington, SC as the community relations director. LeAnne has a passion for
working with seniors and their families and strives to help them find solutions to their needs.
LeAnne is married to her husband Chet and they have four wonder-
ful children. She loves spending time with her family, home projects
and supporting her Clemson Tigers!
