Shepherd’s Center of Charlotte is a
501c3 non-profit organization that
provides programs and services that
enrich the lives of older adults with
volunteer opportunities, stimulating classes and direct services
that promote successful aging. Built on the concept of seniors
serving seniors, Shepherd’s Center offers:

• Adventures in Learning – SCC’s flagship educational program provides
intellectually stimulating experience in an atmosphere of friendship
• Computer Classes – a wide range of topics from Introduction to
Computers and Spreadsheets to Social Marketing and iPhones are offered
• Travel Adventures – designed to offer active seniors the opportunity to
travel together on chartered busses to locations in the southeast—
Greenville, SC; Blowing Rock, NC; Flatrock Playhouse just to name a few
• SHIIP – Medicare counseling is available year around including open enrollment
• Transportation – volunteer drivers ride seniors who no longer drive to
medical appointments
• Tax Aide – trained volunteers counsel taxpayers about basic Federal and
State income taxes
• Handyman – volunteers perform small repairs to keep older adult homes
safe and viable
