Bri Licciardi- As previously said in the message to Evan, thank you for sharing our cat. It’s hard not to bring up our “all-nighter” because that was one of the most fun nights of my freshman year. We should attempt part 2 soon.
Matt Grossman- Looking back to our freshman year, I’m so proud of how much work you have put in to be where you are today. Only so much people have the drive to do how much you do, and that’s really special. You are someone in band that will be difficult to forget about for years to come.
Nicole Bellucci- Thank you for allowing me to be a fake golden girl for a little bit of time. One of these days I’ll get any of those tricks.
Brendan Laux- The motivation and humor that you bring to and outside of the band is amazing. We haven’t been talking as much, but I do enjoy the times that we do hang out together.
Robbie Inforzato- I freaking love you. The time we have spent together have been so fun. You are a kind-hearted caring person. You take time out of your day to spend time with people, and you are a very social person. It’s fun to see you in your improv mode, and here’s to more collaborations.
Anthony McDonnell- Anthony, you have been an amazing GA. Your positivity shines through the band. I’ll see you in collegiate band, but marching has been a lot more fun with you around. PS the trumpets love you.
Jessica Evans- Jess, you have also been an amazing GA. I also wanted to thank you for the high five practices during the practices for the Thanksgiving Day parade. It may not have paid off during the real show, but it was definitely fun. PS the trumpets love you too.
Finally,
Heidi Sarver- I wanted to let you know that since senior year after drum major academy, I have been using some of your STARRED THOUGHTs to push how I live my life in its entirety. I still have my journal from DMA. My favorite memory of first meeting you was when Don’t Stop Believin’ was playing on the last night of DMA, and my Co-drum major and I did a synchronized dance, and when I looked over, your mouth was wide open. Not only that, when I auditioned, it was with you. You saw my potential, and you allowed me to play my heart out, but we needed to fix my embouchure. I followed your advice, and comparing my freshman year posture to now, I have grown and improved. I wanted to thank you for the years that you have given me. You have taught me how to be a leader. Starred thought: Band is a place for EVERYONE. You showed me that I should never turn my back on someone who WANTS to be involved. You also asked if anyone had planned to never become a teacher, and I raised my hand. You proved me wrong and changed my perspective. I have been a teacher throughout college without even being conscious of it, and there will be plenty more opportunities for that. Starred thought: You have to give 100% of your energy, you won’t always get 100% back. This point stuck with me the most outside of band. After that point, I have been trying to adapt this to my life. I have been attempting to put my all into any activity I do, ever since. I appreciate all that you have taught me. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m glad it ended with you.
And that concludes my rant. As my closing remarks, I wanted to say I love you and thank you all for being In My Life.
