Michael Collins- You are such a presence in the band that your absence would definitely show. I appreciate how intense you are for the sport.
Sophomore Trumpets
There are so many of you, so I may have to group some of you guys up. However, you guys are a massive unit of positive vibes. I am proud of each and every one of you, even if I haven’t spent as much time with you guys.
Austin Gray with an a (not an e) and Katrina Staib- You guys are a beam of sunshine in the band. You improve everyone’s day with your smiles and laughter and I’m so glad that I got to know you both.
Lindsey Gelb- I really liked our crackhead hours. They were a lot of fun. You are so kind and funny. Never change.
Matt Haddock- Thank you for being the camera man. Your work will not go unappreciated. But also, I appreciate our mini passings in the gardens, and our mini conversations.
Sam von Fricken- Thank you for allowing me to hi-jack your cap. ‘mer. stuff. Stay bandanaed and continue to be your goofy self. Don’t let anyone change you for the worse.
Samwell Cleary - Samwell, you are the first rookie that I bonded with your year, and I’m proud of how you’ve developed and changed since last year. You have become so much more comfortable with who you are, and that’s amazing. Thank you for being a friend.
Abbi Merritt, Caroline Curtis, Emily Christopher, Emma Leefeldt, Rickey Howell, Tommy Cael, Tom Waggner- We haven’t talked too much and I regret that, but I love the positive attitude that each of you show when you talk to people. You guys are always smiling, and show a real passion for the band. If any of you ever want to hang out, I’d love to! Just let me know.
My Freshman Trumpets
You guys really are a unique group. I’m excited to see where the band heads with this group. You are all capable of making this band greater than the years before it.
Allie Landrie- You are a new presence in this band that will lead it to great places. Find that calm in the crazy storm that is band. Focus it into everyone else, they will appreciate it.
Alyssa Perrin- I like how involved you are with all the trumpets. Keep those connections and grow them. Don’t be afraid to reach out if you ever need anything.
Andrew Gkonos- You are insane. You are truly a chaotic good presence that cannot be ignore. I would leave it there but I can’t. I have enjoyed every minute that we have experienced together. I’m ready for many more adventures with you. You remind me a lot of myself, but slightly more... meme- y. I kind of love it.
Brandon Luster, Logan Pearson, Sean Murphy, Caeden Hodny- Stay out of too much trouble... have fun, enjoy band, and keep pushing your limits. Be proud of this band.
John Winward, Justin Anthony, Karcher Lim- I’m sorry I haven’t been as involved with you guys, but don’t be afraid to reach out. I’ll be around for a bit. This is not the end.
