of the best experiences of my life. From freezing my butt off in the Thanksgiving Day parade to playing my heart out Senior game, nothing can take those memories away. This band is going places. It is truly something new and special. And now, as we leave, it’s up to the rest of you to grow. Band has gotten me through my entire college life, during the good times and the bad. I hope it does for the rest of you too. If ANY of y’all are having a bad time, message me. I’m always down for a talk, even after I leave.
Senior Trumpets! (well... those that made it...)
I couldn’t have pictured a better group to finish off my years of playing with than you guys. We may not have been the absolute closest of friends throughout our time here, but I’m really happy with how close we’ve become in the end. You guys mean so much to me.
Jill Laakso- You’re first because you just gave me food on our way to the Warwick High School as I’m starting this <3 You are such a powerful presence in the band, and you are one of the kindest people I know. I’m so glad to have known you, and I love you.
Evan Mullen- Interrupting Cow MOO! Thank you for giving me so many laughs throughout the years, and I’m so glad to have gotten closer with you this year. I hope in the future we get to see OUR cat more (Thanks for sharing Bri)!
Ayanna Posipanko- I’m so happy you were one of the first people I got to know in band. Even if you get knocked down, you get back up... both physically and mentally, and I really appreciate that about you.
Matt Chalupa- Same type of thing as Ayanna, you were one of the freshmen that I got to know the longest, and I’ll never forget our 1:45am Pod runs or even later random walks through and around campus. It’s been a lot of fun.
Jacob Tims- I love your positive energy with everything that you do! You have always been the guy I could look to for having fun or just a mental boost of morale. Your personality is something to strive for, and I hope that you never change.
Scott Benton- Scooot, you’ll always be a trumpet. Thank you for dealing with my shenanigans over the years. I always enjoy talking to you.
Haley Will- Haley! I’m so glad you are here to allow me to put you in MY will. I’m so glad you’re in my life. You have been there in my best and worst times and I’m so happy you were. I love you so much and your ability to connect with people.
Junior Trumpets
This is a unique crew here. I hope you all finish out your last year strong and as a unit. Continue to push the trumpets through their limits and keep them together like stadium toothpaste. They’re in your hands now.
Connor Tamaki- Connor, I love the drive and passion you show. You are so fearless and have taught me some things about myself that I didn’t know about. I’m really glad to have you as a friend and I can’t wait to see where you go. I will always available to talk too. Stay amazing!
Sam D’Amore- I’m so surprised with how you’ve developed as a human from sleeping in calculus to the leader you are today. You’ve changed so much while keeping true to who you are and that is the best way to do it.
