hang outs. I am glad to have been able to share this season with you and I’m happy that you’ll continue with band in the future.
James Mitchell: I am so glad I got to know you better through marching band. The jokes, the memes, and the laughs were just so good. You really pushed through this season despite sickness and I am glad that you enjoyed this season despite all that. It was a pleasure to have you as a part of the section.
Marcanthony Smith: Marc, Marc, Marc, Marc. You have come so far this season from where you were your rookie season. I am so very proud of you and you should be too! Thanks for always being a good sport when the season starts getting hard. I am so glad that we were able to march together these past two years and I am so thankful for all the laughs we have shared.
Luke Farinella: Your positivity was always so inspiring, Luke. I was always impressed how you responded to every suggestion or critique with a smile. You brought fun energy into the section and I am really happy I got to march this season with you.
Sam Fowler: We’ve really come along way from sharing a stand during band camp music rehearsals. I love your passion for the band. It is so admirable. I am glad this organization resonated with you and am happy that you want to continue marching in the future. Keep up the good work Sam, I know you will.
Simeon Jooste: I was so impressed with the way that you joined late and still were able to learn drill where you were miles away from any other trombone and learn it well. I am so glad that you didn’t miss out on this season! The energy that you brought to the section was great and I am glad you’ll continue to march in the future.
Joe LeBert: What a season, huh? I’m glad we got to joke around a lot and I am really glad that I get to play trombone with you in other ensembles. I know the season had some low points, but I was glad that I could always count on you to have your stuff together and be ready for whatever came next. I’m so happy that we got to march together.
Izzie Simon: You made it so easy for me to pass on the title of Trombone Mom. I was always so moved when you would bring treats for the section and offer snacks to folks just out of the goodness of your heart. Your kindness is amazing and makes the band better. So please keep up the good work and have a great future season.
To my drum majors:
Thank you for all the work that you folks have done for the band. You made it so easy to come to band smiling and ready to lend a hand. Steven, we really came a long long way from freshman year, and I am so happy that I could be a part of your marching band experience. Keith, I really loved giving you a hard time. Thanks for all the laughs and fist bumps. Alyssa, I always love your positivity and the way the you sing the interstellar transition. Thank you three for helping to make this such a great season.
