that I set my mind to do, and for giving me great advice when obstacles inevitably arise. You have taught me so many important lessons like not giving up, working hard to achieve goals, and prioritizing what you’re passionate about. I love you both so much! Thank you thank you thank you for the myriad of opportunities that you’ve given me!
Next, I would like to those that have been in the UDMB with me that have enhanced my experience and made it so special. First off, thank you to my big Emily. I am SO grateful to have met you my freshman year in the clarinet section. You instantly made me feel so at ease, and you helped me adjust to college and being a member of this college band. We had so much fun goofing around during rehearsal and playing together in the stands. I miss those times and will forever cherish them! Furthermore, I don’t think I would have had as much fun if I switched to mello by myself and didn’t have a buddy to learn the instrument along with me. That first music sectional when we didn’t even know how to hold the instrument will be one of my favorite memories of my marching band experience. That season was so much fun, and I am so happy we bonded more through that. Since then, I am so thankful for your friendship, support, and advice that you’ve given me throughout college. I truly cannot imagine what college would have been like without you, so thank you for believing in me and giving me so much love through all the good and bad times. I cannot wait to see what we do in the next few years, and I know that we will remain close wherever we end up!
Thank you my little, Kasey for believing in me and being a great friend! I’m so glad I can give you some advice in terms of pre-vet stuff as well as the UDMB. I absolutely love seeing you grow and become more comfortable in college. You are doing SO well, and I know that you’re going to go so far in life because of how compassionate you are, how hard you work, and how you work so well with others. You’re an amazing listener and I’m glad you haven’t gotten sick of me ranting to you yet. You’re also an amazing leader, and I loved seeing you step up and be such an awesome tenor staff member and be a responsible podium and ladders member. You are going to absolutely kill it during the rest of your time at UD, and I hope you know that I will always be supporting and encouraging you in whatever you do!
Thank you to Jack for being such a great mello section buddy. You have made my time in the section so so special. I have loved being on staff with you and getting to lead the section this past year. You are so much fun to be around and you are an amazing friend. I admire how you are always there for your friends and are willing to put your own things aside to help someone else. You always give great advice and are great at solving problems. I loved how you kept it so fun on the field while still remaining focused with a goal. I will miss woo-ing with you in the stands and running the stands during the third quarter. We have made some great memories, and I hope we continue to do that in years to come!
Thank you to Madi for being an amazing friend and an awesome section buddy. You have given me so much love and support, and I’m so grateful for that. You are so so good at what you do and you’ve made some amazing positive changes to this program as band manager. I admire your professionalism and organization, and how you know what you want and go after it. You are also so funny and you always make me laugh. I can’t imagine having been in band without you and I’m so thankful for all of the amazing memories we’ve made over the past few years. Everything from swimming in the rain and riding the blow-up horses around the field. You have such unique ideas and so much passion, and that will take you so far in life. Thank you for always being there for me and supporting me through everything! I hope we continue to make amazing memories together!
Thank you to Kayla for guiding me in my journey as a mello and encouraging me when I had doubts about switching sections. You were so so supportive and a great mentor. You taught me so much about improving my playing on the mello, and you never gave up when I got frustrated and
