UDMB was spectacular, and I hope you will work to make it spectacular for everyone who comes after you!
To Eric Abner...
Never stop being yourself, and have full faith in what you do. I wish someone had given me that advice when I was at the beginning of college, and I hope you will take it in stride and achieve great success.
To Michael Collins...
Never forget the tangible, positive effect you have on the people around you. It is usually unseen, and sometimes you don’t find out about it until your cape is turned gold and eyes are damp, but trust that it’s there. You’ve always had that positive effect on me, and you have that effect on more people in this band than you think. Keep putting forward that love and compassion. Forever and always.
To Tom Waggner...
I had a really, really strong feeling when we met in the UDMB that we would become good friends. Your energy is contagious, your determination is evident and inspiring, and your passion for music is strong. I am so excited to watch you blossom into a great educator, and I encourage you to keep working to inspire others through music.
To Austin...
First you were in “The Happy Family”, and now you’re my brother. I have watched you grow tremendously since I’ve met you and it reminds me to never stop working on myself as well. I know you are going to be a great leader in this band, in any capacity, and inspire others as well.
To Alec...
You challenge me to be better, all the time. But the little things matter too – those high fives and smiles on the field are always noticed and appreciated. Keep giving those.
To Frankie...
My son! I am so incredibly proud of you. Never forget that the UDMB is a place for you to be yourself, develop your understanding of the world, and step away from the stresses of everyday life.
To the Trombones...
The relationship between the baritones and trombones has never been this strong. You are all an incredibly polite, talented, and inspiring group of musicians, and I know you’re all going to be very successful in the years to come.
To the TROMbones...
Anybody selling?
To Keith...
For the love of all that is good please let them play O.
To my all Brothers in Phi Mu Alpha...
