P. 56

To Lars...
I miss you.
To my since departed Rookies...
Jez, Haley, Emily, Pickle, and Roger – It’s impossible to forgot that first morning walking across the bridge from North Campus, to rookie camp, embarking on this grand adventure with you all. And of course, Jez’s invisible ball dance will reign forever as one of my favorite college memories.
To Jared Sharpe...
My staff buddy (!) You don’t need a reminder on how important you have been in my life, and I will keep those memories and lessons with me forever.
To Ross Forney...
When I came in as a freshman, you have to understand that, goofy as you were, you WERE the UDMB to me. You treated me as a friend just by virtue of having dots nearby each other in Holiday, and you’ve never stopped since. That is emblematic of what the UDMB is about – great friendships brought together by fate. Thank you for everything, one and always.
To Kit Husted...
I’m not sure when you decided to become my guardian angel, but you did, and you, like many others, made the UDMB home for me.
And to the COUNTLESS others...
I’m realizing very quickly that I’m going to miss a LOT of people if I tried to go down the list. You all know who you are, and all I can say is thank you for inspiring me and making the UDMB home, and that I did my best to pay it forward.
This is a will, after all, and so I’d like to turn my attention to those that are departing here or staying behind. First, the Seniors:
To Rachael...
My best friend, damnit. The magic of band is that somehow, through fate, we found each other. I don’t think I need to elaborate very much here on why you are important to me. I don’t need to say goodbye to you because I’m not going anywhere, and you better not either <3
To Matt Grossman...
If I were ever to write an autobiography, there would probably be an entire chapter dedicated to you and the impact you’ve had on my life. And it started by chance, in the UDMB. Cherish these days, and remember that just because you’re not on the field doesn’t mean your passion has to stop.
To Matt Greene...
You embody everything that is great about the UDMB. You are kind, you are talented, you are motivated, and you have fun in everything you do. That energy is contagious, and I’m so glad that we got to finish this adventure together.
