PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
PLUMBING
The Plumbing Technology program prepares
students for entry into the plumbing industry
through a combination of classroom instruction
and hands-on training. Students develop the skills
needed to install, maintain, and repair residential
and commercial plumbing systems while learning
industry standards and safety practices.
Core concepts covered include print reading,
estimating, back flow prevention, residential and
commercial plumbing, plumbing code review,
drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems, water
volume and distribution requirements, and the
installation and testing of plumbing materials.
Students also gain practical experience working
with piping systems, fixtures, and equipment
commonly used in the field, preparing them for a
variety of careers in the plumbing industry.
