The death of a child or team member during care is a serious incident.
Remain calm and assess the situation.
Call 911 immediately and advise administration of the situation.
Remove other children from the scene and secure with designated team member.
Attempt all first aid and/or CPR pursuant to current guidelines.
Designated administration will contact the parent/guardians or emergency contact of
the child or team member and arrange to meet at the hospital or medical facility.
Medical staff will advise the parents/guardians or emergency contact of the death of
a child or team member.
