Mission in Action

It is the mission of Jack & Jill Children’s Center to break the cycle of poverty for
children of high-need working families through quality early childhood education
     and family strengthening programs.

90% of the children and families we serve live within 175% of the Federal
     Poverty Level.

     Early Childhood Program

Our high-quality Early Childhood Education focuses on enabling children to grow
emotionally, physically, and socially in a safe, caring environment using age-appropriate
methods for cognitive growth. Our Center is open year-round, serving 140 children ages
6-weeks through 5-years. Teachers engage children in activities including art,
math, literacy, science, music, puzzles, and physical education using the culturally rich,
national award-winning Creative Curriculum©. Children become more social, forming
friendships, and playing in groups. A nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided
     daily.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Program (Kindergarten & First Grade)

Jack & Jill’s Elementary School provides an enriched and stimulating academic
program. Small classroom sizes enable students with the opportunity to meet their
academic goals through individual and group learning experiences. This approach
allows students to learn through inquiry and cooperative learning using a variety of
tools as they think critically and creatively about real work learning experiences. The
caring and professional teachers encourage each student’s sense of self and social
development incorporating the concept of mindfulness. This program offers extended
hours with before and after-school care as well as therapeutic services onsite. A
nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack are provided daily.

     After-School & Summer Camp Programs

The after-school program is available for children five- to twelve-years of age and
provides an opportunity to balance learning and fun through a variety of
experiences. The children are engaged in a stimulating yet comfortable environment
while they have homework help, fun physical activities, and a healthy nutritious
snack. The program is open during school holidays, closings, and an exciting summer
camp program with extended hours is offered.
