Transport options available to allcare clients
At allcare we do transport differently!
If you need transport to get somewhere, just call us. We provide same day, on-demand transport. There are several options available to you:
Driven by a Community Support Worker
If you require assistance while you are out, the best option is to have a Community Support Worker take you where you need to go and assist you whilst you are out.
You are charged $1.00 per kilometre of travel plus the Community Support Worker's time.
Taxi or Uber
If you only require transport and do not need assistance, allcare can arrange for a taxi or Uber.
allcare is able to arrange transport with drivers who are able to provide assistance for older Australians. Drivers are specifically trained to assist you in and out of vehicles and can accommodate folding wheelchairs, walkers and scooters.
If using Uber, the office staff can use an app to see where the vehicle is at all times to ensure you are collected and dropped off. We are also able to communicate with the driver at all times.
There is no labour costs associated with using taxis and Ubers.
Cab Charge
If you like the flexibility of being able to order your own transport, allcare is able to provide you with a voucher to pay for the transport.
Vouchers provided are for a single use up to a value of $50.
Longer Trips
If you require transport for longer trips, perhaps for a medical appointment in Sydney or even to the airport, allcare is able to arrange suitable transport to ensure you are supported on your journey.

Remember we provide same day, on-demand transport, because you are in charge of your care.
All transport charges appear on your monthly statement.
