Founded in 2009, Promise Ranch is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides Equine-Assisted Services
for children and adults with developmental, physical, social or emotional healing needs. We offer Adaptive Riding, Horse-Mounted Therapies, Horsemanship for Veterans, Ranch-based Occupational and Speech Therapy, Physi-
cal Therapy, Music Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, and Supported Employment Services. We are a Center Member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship Int’l. (PATH Int’l.) and a Facility Member of the American Hippotherapy Association (AHA). We are located in Castle Rock, CO.
READ TO ME can reach families at the earliest point in a child’s development, right after birth. As part of our mission objective, we encourage and support mothers of newborns to take advantage of the critical early months in their infant’s brain development. In fact, researchers now agree that 85 percent of brain development occurs during the first three years of life. Mothers are given a READ TO ME book bundle, which includes, a new, two developmentally appropriate books, a READ TO ME re-usable tote bag and a special note furthering the message on the importance of sharing the joy of books and reading with their newborn baby. The message is supported through the medical provider, a very respected source to the new mother. All medical providers are trained to deliver this very important message to the mothers before they are discharged from the hospital.
