Malaysia’s first public university of its kind to host and be part of an
international consortium to enhance student success and advance
sustainable development through collaboration and shared practice
in intercultural education.

Malaysia’s largest higher education institution,
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), today
announced the soft launch of the Universitas
KCivic Moderna consortium (UCM), an international
network for modern civic universities.
This consortium of universities was established as civic
institutions that demonstrate commitments towards community
responsibility and demonstrate a clear social responsibility
agenda. UCM members are committed towards realising the
vision, mission and objectives of the consortium.
This initiative is built on UCM’s succint statement of purpose:
“. . A partnership of modern civic universities pioneering
ways to enhance student success and advance sustainable
development through collaboration and shared practice in
intercultural education.”
