WAKATOBI NATIONAL PARK
Wakatobi National Park is the best underwater
national park in Indonesia. Wakatobi National
Park presents diverse underwater beauty across
the oceans. Wakatobi National Park was
established in 2002. Located in the Asia – Pacific
World Coral Triangle, in the province of South
East Sulawesi, the Wakatobi Islands offer clear
water and beautiful underwater view. Wakatobi
hosts 942 fish species and 750 coral reef species
(of 820 globally). Habitat found in the national
park are mangrove forest, lowland swamp forest,
riverbank vegetation, lowland rainforest,
mountain rainforest, and coral reef. To sum it up,
Wakatobi National Park is one of the best
destinations for sightseeing and diving in
Indonesia, and you should definitely go there if
you ever have the chance to do so.
