Client Education: Preventing Dumping Syndrome
▪ Avoid sugar, salt, and milk.
▪ Eat a high-protein, high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet.
▪ Eat small meals and avoid consuming fluids with meals.
▪ Lie down after meals.
▪ Take antispasmodic medications as prescribed to delay gastric emptying.
