The Infirmary at DPS North caters to the health and the wellbeing of students and staff in the
campus. Throughout the year, various programmes and sessions are conducted keeping in mind the
health issues and requirements of the growing children.
Two such initiatives were- My Dental Plan and Measles –Rubella Vaccination Campaign.
My Dental Plan– 2017
MY DENTAL PLAN along with DPS NORTH
had launched preventive dental care and ZERO
CAVITY MISSION at DPS NORTH.
Dr Girish, Dr Ananda Krishna and
Dr Latha along with their team from Ramiah
Dental College offered preventive dental care to
children by FLUORIDE VARNISH
application to their teeth at DPS NORTH.
Fluoride application done for students
Fluoride varnish application to children’s teeth was done very hygienically using individual sachets
of Fluoride. Students from Nursery to class X were the beneficiaries of this project.
A total of 1338 Children availed this benefit of Preventive Dental care at DPS North in Jan- Feb
2017. Children’s parents were sent a follow up mail and detailed report of the dental condition of
their ward.
Measles –Rubella Vaccination Campaign 2017
As per the Government directive to eliminate Measles and Rubella from our nation by 2020, a state wide
campaign from Feb 7th-28th was launched. In this regard, DPS North conducted MR Campaign
along with Usmanahalli Primary Health Centre. A 3day Measles- Rubella Vaccination Campaign
was organized by Dr Shashidhar and his team of vaccinators from Ramaiah College and hospital.
Measles is a deadly disease which can
lead to disability and Rubella can lead to
Congenital Rubella Syndrome. An awareness
was raised among parents about the benefits
of the Vaccination. As we know, Immuniza-
tion is very vital in improvising the health
condition of our country and creating herd
immunity to eliminate vaccine preventable
diseases, Measles-Rubella CAMPAIGN was
conducted at DPS NORTH.
1725 children with the consent of their
parents were vaccinated at DPS North free
