in Matthew 4/5-8, or "a high mountain" first and then "on a pinnacle of the temple", as
in Luke 4/5-9?
[10] That is, he has to be killed.
[11] That is, he has to be killed.
[12] In John 13/4-5, we read, "He rose from supper, and laid aside his garments;
and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poured water into a basin,
and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with
which he was girded."A sensible reader may ask, "What is the relationship between
stripping and washing feet?" Besides, is it not the right of sincere lovers of Christ to
condemn what John said regarding him? For instance, in John 13/23-25, we read, "Now
there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be
of whom he spoke. He then lying on Jesus' breast said unto him, Lord, who is
it?" A provocative text such as this would definitely be quoted by immoral people to
justify their corrupt practices from which God Almighty has absolved Jesus Christ.
