Hydrogen Society of Tomorrow – Established in Sandviken Today
Figure 5 Green hydrogen produced by electrolysis connects the energy grid and gas grid at the same time as it enables a transition to green mobility, fuels and industrial applications.
In Sandviken, Sweden, part of the hydrogen society described in Figure 5 have been established. Green hydrogen from electrolysis is supplied via pipeline to the industrial processes as well as feedstock for the filling station.
Figure 6 Sandvik’s industrial site in Sandviken with the hydrogen pipeline, highlighted in blue, supplying gas for industrial applications as well as the hydrogen filling station. The hydrogen is produced by electrolysis of water with renewable energy sources.
