The WVPC participates in the American Association of Poison

Control Center’s National Poison Data System (NPDS), the largest

poison exposure database in the United States.

De-identified data

collected is used to:

 Target problem areas

and adjust services

 Advance knowledge of

poisons and antidotes

 Teach health care

professionals and

students

 Provide necessary data

for product safety

regulation
