Negative sentences

In past tense negative sentences, we use

“didn’t or did not” as an auxiliary verb.

               See the examples:

            Subject + didn’t + verb* + complement

                    • He went to the yesterday.

                    • We walked to the store.

the bank. • We didn’t walk

                                                                      to the bank.

The verb must be in its base form. Do not write didn’t
and a verb in past tense together.
