And now for the REALLY GOOD NEWS: I am constantly amazed and absolutely de-
lighted by the work of the market garden team, volunteer growers, the Congrega-
tion Council leaders who offer their support and encouragement, and the mas-
sive number of congregational members who have come out and supported this
CSA box effort! It has been extraordinarily heart-warming to see so many people
work toward eradicating hunger in our Durand Community. The shear number of
people involved is staggering—from Paula who keeps the blessing boxes full, to
Mary N. who gathers the coffee grounds to feed our compost pile, to Lyle, Bill,
Sally, Rachel, Sharon, Stan, Larry, Mike, Angie, and Alan who are our congrega-
tional growers, to the garden market team of Jerry, Rich and Jody, Sharon and
Stan, Louise, Shannon, Angie, Mary S., we have been able to accomplish a great
deal. I am so proud of everyone and so very grateful for all of your work!! The
really Good News is that Christ’s love is proclaimed with each veggie we grow and
each person we feed—it is a visible and tangible proof of God’s love for the
world! Thank you everyone for proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ!!
With a massive smile on my face,
Pastor Pat
Wanted!!!!
The garden team needs clean, empty
gallon milk jugs--lots of them!! If you
have any or even sand bags, we really
need them! Full sand bags can be
dropped off at Rich and Jody's house
behind the old church building. The
clean, empty gallon milk jugs can be
brought to church.
Thank you!!
