New Ministry at Trinity!

As you will recall, back in February, Doc Alan and Joanna joined others including our Bishop,
Rev. Jeffrey Clements on a trip to visit our companion Synod, the Arcot Lutheran Church. It

was a really amazing experience and all who went to India came back excited to share their

experiences with their congregation. Alan was no different and shared with us at an Adult Fo-
rum about the amazing ministry work that is being done in India. As part of his presentation,

Doc Alan challenged the congregation to think of ways to support the ministry that is happen-
ing in the Arcot Lutheran Church. I am happy to announce that our Congregation Council took

-up that challenge and has decided to sponsor a student at the Siloam Girls Boarding School in
Tamil Nadu, India. This is one of the boarding schools our Synod group visited and were so

very impressed with the work being done there. Through the generosity of Mary Nuss we
were able to pay for the complete year of 2018 sponsorship! In addition, Bill Konigsfeld also

generously offered to pay for the first month of 2019!! The Council would now like to open
up the sponsorship ministry to the whole congregation. You will find more information con-

cerning our sponsored student, as well as a place to sign-up for a month, on the bulletin

board in the narthex. The cost is a very low $26.33 which covers our student’s entire expens-
es for the month—which when you think about it is rather astounding! I hope you will give
prayerful consideration in joining Mary Nuss and Bill Konigsfeld’s leadership and generosity!
