As we spend time with God, our mindfulness of “God with us” expands. We invite
you to share your God sightings and presence by creating ornaments to hang on
our tree in the narthex. You can simply write on the ornaments during Sunday fel-
lowships or take them home to add a picture and decorate and bring the following
Sunday. Let’s fill our tree with God sightings!
Another idea for a break in our busyness is to spend time reflecting on the verses
listed on the attached Advent calendar or the Advent devotions taken from the ELCA
website, both of which are located on the table in the narthex. If you have a favorite
advent devotion, please share it with us.
Prepare, anticipate, and wait to be surprised yet again by just how far God will go
to reach us.
” Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice…The Lord is near.”
Philippians 4:4,5.
May the peace, joy, hope, and love of Christ fill your hearts today and throughout
this New Year.
