Trinity Event Planners
The team met January 18 to discuss the 2018 plans for events
to raise funds for our general fund account.
Oktoberfest will be held Saturday, September 29. Serving time will be: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
We are planning on a live band that will play Oktoberfest type music for the event. The Uku-
lele Connection Band will perform. We hope to include the “live music” attraction in our ad-
vertising which should boost attendance. Entrance to the event will be the lower level back
entrance. We will make signs directing all to the back and have more signs for beer hall. We
will sell tickets in advance again three weeks prior to the event at church. We plan to set up
tents Saturday morning and will need lights for beer tents and straw bales. Shannon has be-
gun to create a photo booth activity for our event.
Garage sale. Will repeat the event during the Route 75 garage sale, June 1-2.
Again at Mike Bolen’s property. Again donors will price their own items. No TVs and no con-
signments. No items priced less than $1. Soda and water for 50 cents.
We all know regular exercise and physical
activity are important to our physical and
mental health but how many of us are
motivated to exercise regularly
The National Institute on Aging has a campaign for older adults called "Go4Life" which is de-
signed to help us fit exercise and physical activity into our daily lives. Go4Life offers exer-
cises, motivational tips, and free resources to help us get ready, start exercising, and keep go-
ing. Their website, www.nia.nih.gov/Go4Life, contains exercises for endurance, strength, bal-
ance, and flexibility and tips for healthy eating. You can even sign up to receive free daily
emails with tips. Check out their web site.
There are copies of their free Go4Life exercise books under the mailboxes. Help yourself and
more can be ordered if needed.
