PARTY MANAGEMENT

The entry into Party Information is always party search. From here, depending on
2 permissions, the user can identify the Party ID number for a contract request, create a
new party, and enter party information to update party details.
Party search will provide search returns based upon the information entered into the
search screen. The more fields entered, the narrower the results. The fewer fields or data
entered, the broader the results (and it may take a bit long for the system to process).
The key is to find and select the correct party or determine if a new party needs to be
3 created. Please be judicious in search to avoid creating unnecessary parties. Creating
new parties when a party exists will delay your contracting request and may impact
system functionality such that incorrect documents will be produced. This creates manual
work for many functions, so please do the right thing in search.
