Although it might be one of Ireland’s more remote counties, Leitrim is a gem to visit. Defined by water and refined by tranquil valleys and a small but beautiful coastline, it’s well worth exploring. Leitrim is home to a host of beautiful lakes, part of the Shannon-Erne waterway and a wealth of discerning tourist attractions.
The Glencar waterfall, Slieve Anierin, The Acres Lake Boardwalk and Lough Allen are just some of the attractions in this remote and beautiful place which rewards the road less travelled more than you can possibly imagine.
