The National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History is the newest branch of the National Museum of Ireland located at the former Collins Barracks in the Arbour Hill area of Dublin, Ireland.
The site opened in 1997 is the largest of the Museum’s sites and is also the administrative centre. The museum has dedicated displays of furniture, silver, ceramics and glassware, as well as examples of folk life and costume, and money and weapons. The “Soldiers & Chiefs” exhibition features military artifacts and memorabilia tracing Ireland’s military history from 1550 to the present. Other permanent exhibitions include ones on Irish coins and currency, silverware, furniture, the designer Eileen Gray, Asian art and a ‘Curator’s Choice’theme. Some of the unique items at the museum include gauntlets worn by King William at the Battle of the Boyne, a life belt and oar salvaged from the wreck of the RMS Lusitania and a pocket book carried by Wolfe Tone whilst imprisoned in the Barracks.

On the tour of the purpose built brewery, as well as discovering how they make their award-winning beers, you’ll also get to sample some of their tasty brews and learn all about the Rascals story, with a first-hand glimpse at the workings of our brewery from the malt room to the brewhouse to the fermentation tanks.
Tours last approximately 45 minutes and cost €20 per person. The tour includes a taste of our core beers as well as seasonal specialty brews, with
some tasty flatbread fresh from our woodfired pizza oven!

The Chester Beatty Library was established in Dublin, Ireland in 1950, to house the collections of mining magnate, Sir Alfred Chester Beatty and is one of the world’s finest collections of its kind. The Library’s collections are displayed in two collections: “Sacred Traditions” and “Artistic Traditions”. Both displays exhibit manuscripts, miniature paintings, prints, drawings, rare books and some decorative arts from the Islamic, East Asian and Western Collections.The Library is one of the premier sources for scholarship in both the Old and New Testaments and is home to one of the most significant collections of Islamic and Far Eastern artefacts.
